I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Los Angeles, California. I aim to create a compassionate and authentic environment where all clients feel welcome. Together, we will identify and address the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and beliefs holding you back from living a joyful life. I will help you discover your strengths and capabilities to live a meaningful, rewarding, and conflict-free life. Therapy with me is engaging, non-judgmental, and supportive, promoting personal growth and healing.
While attending graduate school emphasizing Infant & Toddler Specialization and working full-time as a teacher, I dedicated myself to volunteer work in the community. I specialized in helping children who had experienced physical and sexual abuse and worked with “at-risk” teens in the legal system, nonpublic schools, and outpatient clinics. My work focused on helping teens redirect their anger and set meaningful goals for their future. This vital community work inspired me to participate further by continuing my internship at the well-known organization Vista Del Mar. There, I focused on individual and family therapy, addressing various emotional issues such as Bipolar Disorder, Self-Injury, Depression, Grief & Loss, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, ADD, ADHD, and Attachment Disorder.
I was a preschool teacher for over 12 years before I became a Marriage and Family Therapist. I would always read books to the kids about Traffic Lights, Sing Songs about Traffic Lights, and play the stop-start game Traffic Light. It had been subconsciously implanted in my brain many years before my dream to teach others my “Traffic Light Method” of communication.
Over the 20-plus years of facilitating therapy and life coaching with my clients, I know what works and doesn’t. I am not the kind of therapist invested in keeping people in treatment for 30 years… I like to help identify the problem, explore the origins, and move to solution-focused treatment. The same goes for life and relationship coaching. I have found that a blend of therapy with a mix of coaching equals solid results and progress.
